Internet Resources

I think that the internet is full of great math resources, but for some reason the topic that I am doing for my lesson plan. All of the videos and tutorials they have for solving algebraic equations show a teacher solving a simple problem, and in my opinion they are making a mess of the equation. Maybe I’m a little OCD (or CDO... put in alphabetical order) but for me math has to look neat. Each line should reflect one or 2 changes you have made to the equation, and that’s it. The way they are showing students on the internet is adding/ subtracting terms underneath the equation (starting a new line). In my opinion this creates a disorganized page, and when the student returns to their work, it wouldn’t be readable. As a teacher I think it is important to instruct your students how to write their math properly, so that in the future, reviewing, and looking at other students’ work will be done efficiently.
